Shaky Ground

On your shaky ground, there was love being built

You sentenced yourself to a life full of guilt

It took a long time for you to understand

Meanwhile, beyond repair, you caused damage

False accusations, guilty until proven innocent

Your trust was to be earned, a lifelong sentence

By way of ignorance and paranoia affliction

Someone who was faithful, you rendered a victim

A loyal, hard-working, goody two-shoes

Imperfectly freckled, but following rules

I severed the ties from the sad disappointment

To start a new life, however disjointed

You managed the tragedy in your own way

Trapped by your cycle of infinite dismay

You fell prey to a society of hallucinogenists

Unable to separate truth from fiction

Confusion can become dangerously incorrect

Resulting in irreparable regret

Broken to pieces and riddled with scars

I wish you the best from the bottom of my broken heart
