Panic

Concern becomes terror,
airways start to wheeze.
Try moving in a hurry,
but both legs are weak.
On your shoulders, a burden
heavier than gravity.
Heart beats with a murmur,
feels like you're sinking deep.
With a frantic gurgle,
your voice emits a squeak.
Choked up, you stutter,
not able to speak.
You search for hope inward,
internally, you reach.
Somehow strength returns,
emerging like a dream.
Life-force pushes you further,
you can finally scream.
You reclaim your fervor,
now tranquility can be redeemed.
